The War Is Over Whether You Like It Or Not. A poem about how society sets people up for dissapointment. old f.b. note 2009
They pay for this.
Get treated by religion, with their concept of original sin, like your responsible for the world, and the trouble it's in.
They pay for this.
People get taught to early resign, like the situation is impossible for all time.
They pay for this.
School pumps you full of fear, like all of life is only about career.
They pay for this.
Kids get kicked out at 18, abandoned to the scene, without signifigant others to check where they've been.
They pay for this.
Life is about growing a garden and being a friend, any other b.s. is only pretend.
They pay for this.
The war is over whether you like it or not.
